Situated in the rolling hills just a few miles northeast of Barre and Montpelier, Plainfield is noted for its many brick houses which are rare in Vermont. Most of these residences were built between 1825 and 1850 from locally manufactured brick. The village is surrounded by picturesque agricultural landsacapes. |
