Lazy Lions Campground - Barre

Level wooded sites, Good water, sewer, 30 amp electric, Picnic tables, Fire rings, Hot showers, metered, Clean, modern restrooms, Separate RV and tent site areas. Lean-to's and a Rustic Cabin Some pull through sites, Public Telephone, Firewood, Ice, Laundromat, Nature Trail, Playground.

 

Green Valley Campground- Montpelier

Only minutes from Shopping Centers, Restaurants, Laundromats, Hospital, Swimming, Fishing, Skeet Shoot Range, Golf Courses, Tennis and Raquetball, Bowling Lanes and Bingo, Lovely hillside and river view, 10 acres, grassy and easliy accessible. Water, electricity and sewer hook-ups - dump station and honey wagon. No limit on trailer length.

 

Limehurst Lake Campground - Williamstown

Complete facilities: 77 sites partially shaded on a 13 acre private lake. Fish without a license, and it is free fishing. We offer for your comfort and convenience: full hookup sites with free tv hookups, 20,30, 50 amps. Metered LP gas, pets welcome, modem friendly. Our primitive tent sites are in an area by themselves. Tent rentals available.

 

Groton State Park & Campgrounds

This 25,000 plus acre forest is the second largest contiguous landholding by the State of Vermont. Scenic place known primarily for its developed camping also supports a wide variety of wildlife, including black bear, moose, deer, grouse, mink, beaver, otter, fisher, loons and herons. A variety of fish can be found in the clear ponds and brooks. Seven campgrounds, only a half-hour drive from Barre, Montpelier. This forest retains a sense of wilderness and

 

Little River State Campground

Facilities: There are 81 tent/trailer sites and 20 lean-tos that make this central Vermont's largest campground. Three of the four rest rooms include hot showers ($). A sanitary dump station is available, but no hookups. There are swimming beaches, play areas, a boat launch, ball field, and miles of hiking trails.

 

Allis State Campground - Northfield

Facilities: The campground at Allis State Park consists of 18 tent sites and 8 lean-to sites. Each of the 26 sites has a picnic table and a stone or brick fireplace. One rest room serves the entire campground, providing modern plumbing and hot showers ($). There is a sanitary dump station for RVs, but no hookups. Also, located in the day use area is a large picnic shelter with rest rooms and a play area. Fire tower overlooks Green Mountains.

 

Camel's Hump State Park

Primitive camping is allowed only in the lower elevations and away from trails, roads, and water, in accordance with the "Vermont Guide to Primitive Camping on State Lands". Otherwise, overnight camping is permitted only in Green Mountain Club shelters and lodges. Shelters and Lodges are supervised from May to October. There is a 2-night limit. The shelters are open year-round, and reservations are not accepted. Open fires are permitted only in tent platform fire rings and in designated primitive camping areas.
