was founded in November, 1978, as a Christmas outlet for area
artisans. Proving too successful in its first months to fold,
Artisans Hand has continued, expanded, and refined
itself. |

Now located in
the center of Montpelier, the gallery is still owned and run
by area artisans, some the same who founded the store 24 years
ago.

The cooperative
is proud of its teamwork and its commitment to selecting and
displaying top quality contemporary Vermont craft work. Each
month new work is juried by the board.
