Capitol Grounds Café and Roastery is located in the heart of Washington County, Vermont.

The Café on State Street in Montpelier serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and features live music as well as an exhibition space for the area's talented artists. The Café features our own Capitol Grounds fresh roasted coffee, a wide variety of teas, pastries, sandwiches using bagels or croissants, soups, salads and much more.

Since 1998, we have provided a place for both locals and visitors to pause, relax, and experience the unique character and appeal of the city.

Our full line of fresh roasted coffee beans is for sale by the pound at the Café.

The Roastery, located in East Montpelier, produces the freshest roasted coffee beans in the area. We are a FAIR TRADE roaster and buy organic beans whenever possible.
