More about the Medical Center:
CVMC's hospital has 41 medical-surgical beds, with large windows, many over looking the mountains, including 8 new private rooms and a palliative care room. Creating all private rooms is a major initiative for CVMC. We started converting to an all-private room facility with the opening of the Garden Path Birthing Center in 2007. Birthing women stay in the same private room for labor, delivery and post partum care. There are 19 rooms in the Women & Children's Unit including those in the birthing center. The ICU, known as the Davis Special Care Unit, has 14 beds.
The 15 room Inpatient Psychiatry Unit is the only regional inpatient facility and offers a full range of treatment across a broad spectrum of adult psychiatric conditions. The Psychiatric Program also provides in-house psychiatric consultation for patients on medical surgical floors and at Woodridge .
The Emergency Department has 18 rooms in the main ED and 5 in Fast Track. The Ambulatory Care Unit, part of the recent modernization and renovation project has 5 operating Rooms plus one major procedure room as well as 9 Recovery Room (PACU) beds, 30 Admission/Discharge beds and 5 infusion chairs.
