Central Vermont Hospital is a not-for-profit 122-bed facility offering comprehensive in-patient and out-patient care services along with 24-hour emergency care. The hospital is the result of the merger of two local hospitals 27 years ago. Other hospital services include cardiology, neurology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, urology, behavioral health services, physical and occupational therapy and renal dialysis.
Woodridge Nursing Home: A level I and II facility opened in September 1993. The 153-bed facility is located on the main campus, close to the hospital and physician offices.
Central Vermont Physician Practice Corporation was established to secure access to primary care physicians in central Vermont. The CVPPC manages the practices of 17 primary care physicians in Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Gynecology and Obstetrics.
In 1993 cvmc collaborated with local physicians to create the Central Vermont Physician Hospital Organization. The CVPHO provides managed care under contract with insurance companies and HMOs.
In 1996 cvmc became a member of the Hitchcock Alliance to continue to secure community access to affordable high-quality health care services and technology.
