The town of Brookfield is centrally
located south of Montpelier, and is the site of the famous Floating
Bridge and Vermont's first library.
Sunset Lake is crossed by a floating bridge, buoyed by 380 barrels,
(the lake is too deep to support a pillared span. The lake is
the site of much fishing off the bridge and in January it is
a coveted viewing point for one of New England's last remaining
ice
harvest festivals. |
