This contemporary Victorian home sits beautifully
on a hillside in East Montpelier, Vermont. Views of the surrounding hills
and mountains and a section of the town of Berlin can be seen from the
rear deck on the south side of the house, from the backyard, and from
three of the bedrooms. The Sugarbush ski area can be seen in the distance.
The sun, traveling from east to west over this
panoramic view produces ever changing shadows and light as it alternates
with clear blue sky and puffy clouds. Guests enjoy lovely vistas and sunsets
year round.

Deer graze at sunrise and sunset, wild turkeys roam, and occasional horseback
riders emerge from the surrounding forests filled with cross-country ski
trails.
There are 47 acres at High Hill Inn,
which include 22 acres of forest and 25 of open land.

Cross-country trails abound on the prop erty
and the surrounding properties.
The air is crisp and you feel as though you can reach out and touch
the clouds as they pass by in summer. A summer's night sounds include
crickets and bullfrogs.
A stay at High Hill Inn is sure to
relax your mind and body and to refresh and energize you again! Only
minutes to Vermont State Capitol.

On a clear night the sky becomes a star-gazer's
paradise with no bright city lights and their hazy glow to diminish
the twinkling stars and full array of constellations.
Guests can take a stroll down the lane
onto nearby lanes or walk through meadows or ride a mountain bike or
take a hike into the surrounding woods on cross-country ski trails in
the summer, or ski on them in the winter.
The front porch rockers are popular
for sitting to chat and passing the time away enjoying freshly made
lemonade, a cup of coffee or tea (our compliments), reading a book or
just getting lost in one's own thoughts for awhile. The deck has lounges
and a hammock for the guest's enjoyment while taking in easterly, southern
and westerly views of the surrounding hillsides and mountains.
