Johnnycake Flats is a delightful 1800’s farmhouse bed and breakfast offering guests a quiet retreat to come home to after a day of hiking, skiing, bicycling or simply touring the Vermont countryside. A common room greets guests with its fireplace of handmade bricks, library, game cubby and afternoon refreshments. All stays include a hearty breakfast served around a butternut harvest table.

Our grounds provide endless opportunities to refresh your spirit in every season… wander through the perennial gardens, explore the frog ponds, or go for a snowshoe through the woods. Sightings of moose, wild turkey and the Great Blue Heron are not uncommon.

Tucked into a lovely valley, renowned for its spectacular foliage, Johnnycake Flats is the perfect base for experiencing the pleasures found in Vermont. We are conveniently located near Norwich University, Windridge Tennis Camp, Mad River Glen, Sugarbush, and Montpelier, Vermont's Capital City.
