About Positive Pie 2

Positive Pie 2 was inspired by the first Positive Pie, which I opened in Plainfield, Vermont in December 1999. After much success at the small shop and a lot of encouragement as well as inspiration, I opened Positive Pie 2 in Montpelier, Vermont in July 2005. The new restaurant offers hand tossed pizza, fresh made pasta, a full bar and live music in an eclectic lounge setting.

I was introduced to the family pizza business at the early age of eight. My family has a long history of successful restaurants and a big Sicilian family. Many of my cousins, aunts and uncles, brothers and parents are still making great food including pizza from the old recipes in various parts of the East coast.

My vision for Positive Pie 2 is simple and two fold. My first intention was to design a creative space and venue in central Vermont for people to enjoy great music, entertainment, New York Style pizza and authentic Sicilian pasta dishes. Second, inspired by my wife Melissa, was to provide a fresh, friendly, positive experience and atmosphere for all employees and patrons. Hence the name Positive Pie! We also make an effort to add a little spiritual light to everything we do which is why you’ll see the restaurant decorated with crystals, Buddha, various woodwork and stone objects.

Our mission here at Positive Pie is to express our passion for great food, great energy, incredible customer service, and promote a high level of integrity around our business. We do this by constantly working on our product and consistency, working towards a team goal, and by encouraging our employees to look inside themselves for answers. We strive to create a solid business that is focused on positivity, creativity and innovation; a business that encourages self-awareness and continually reaches for excellence.
