Successor to the famous Italian Country House Restaurant located in beautiful downtown Barre, Vermont. Sean and Nora's Restaurant achieved a reputation for excellence in its own right in just a short period after their grand opening. The proprietor of Sean and Nora's, John Mayfield (formerly of New England Culinary Institute,) created Sean and Nora's Restaurant in the fashion, style and fond childhood memories of his grandmother Nora, the finest cook he ever knew. She gathered most the recipes that he still uses today, not at school or even from books, instead by swapping her recipes with neighborhood women of very different ethnic backgrounds sharing the secrets of their favorite recipes for hers. She would cook these dishes from scratch to surprise and delight her husband Sean who loved a wide variety of good food. They loved to share these dishes with their family and friends. Now you can also enjoy a truly friendly and courteous atmosphere while enjoying a vast menu of delicious dishes that will leave you not only satisfied but also with memories of a truly extraordinary evening.
