EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Central Vermonters are a well-educated population and approximately
85 percent of the labor force have at least a high school education.
In addition to the area’s five public high schools, the Barre-Regional
Vocational Technical Center is located within four miles of the
park. The strong work ethic of Vermonters is nationally recognized.
The area is endowed with a number of excellent post-secondary
institutions. These include: Norwich University in Northfield,
Woodbury College and New England Culinary Institutes in Montpelier,
Community College of Vermont in Montpelier and Goddard College
in Plainfield. Vermont Technical College is located in Randolph
just thirty minutes away. We are located within an hour’s
drive of the area’s two intellectual centers in Burlington
at the University of Vermont and Hanover, NH at Dartmouth College.
