WELCOME TO A NEW ADVENTURE in web surfing!

Acrobat Reader should be downloaded and installed on your computer before you begin downloading any of these digital slide shows.

Click here NOW for a free copy of Acrobat Reader...

To optimize performance, the slide show should be downloaded and saved, then opened with Acrobat Reader independently of your web browser.

Every browser behaves a little differently when accessing an Acrobat (.pdf) file. AOL automatically copies the file to disk with the filename that appears on the web. Using Netscape you must choose to save the file and select the "source" option as opposed to "text" format. By whatever alternatives your browser offers, the file should be saved to disk.

Once saved, Acrobat Reader should be launched directly (not by clicking on the file icon) and then asked to open the saved file. Pages can be scaled on the screen through the "view" function of Reader.

To watch at automated slide show: Find "preferences" under edit. Go to "full screen" under "preferences." Here you set the parameters for full-screen viewing. Set the automatic advance to a comfortable interval (five to 10 seconds works for most people). Don't forget to click on automatic advance!

Returning to the main menu allows you to select "full screen" from the "view" options. When the first slide fills the entire screen, the computer will begin automatically advancing through the slide show at the pace you've selected. Use esc key or command-(.) to return to normal screen.

(If you don't view the show full screen, you can page through the slides using the advance in the tool bar. OR full screen preferences allow you to click through the full screen slides using mouse clicks to advance.)

If your browser is still open - or you reopen it - clickable points on some slides will transport you to a linked web site. If your browser is not open or not working properly, you'll receive appropriate screen messages.

(Limehurst Lake Campgrounds on TourCV.pdf offered the first web connection. Others will follow as these shows are refined. Few are expected to be in place until late August.)

Once again. Download and save to disk FIRST. Then open Acrobat Reader and ask Acrobat to open the saved file. Viewing options and performance are greatly enhanced when controlled directly by Acrobat rather than the web browser.

This is a new service. Slide shows are still under development. Not all refinements are available at this time. Please check back soon for more polished versions of these shows. You may have to trash the saved copy on your disk in order to download an updated version.
